And The Best Phone For Creators Is...

GD Nerds!

If you're a creator, the phone you use is your most precious tool. You shoot with it, capture images with, and upload from it to social media platforms.

There's loads of phone brands out there right now but for me there are only three brands that truly cater to creators: Apple, Samsung, and Google.

But which is best for full-stack content creation?

I've tested the latest ultra-premium devices, here’s how they stack up for creative workflows in 2025.

📱 Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra: Best All-Rounder for Creators

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Samsung’s powerhouse packs a 200MP main camera, AI-enhanced editing tools, a built-in S Pen, and pro video features like Log recording and Virtual Aperture. It’s fast, flexible, and easily the most feature-rich Android phone for creators right now.

🎥 iPhone 17 Pro Max: Best for Pro Video

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

With ProRes RAW, Apple Log 2, 4K Dolby Vision at 120fps, and deep integration with Final Cut Pro and Logic, this is the go-to choice for mobile filmmakers. Add a 3,000-nit OLED and record-breaking battery life, and it's a clear win for pro-level video content.

My Current Tool Stack 🛠️

You don’t need a hundred tools to run a successful project, just the right ones.

Here's what I currently use in my day-to-day tech stack:

ConvertKit (Kit): This is my go-to email marketing platform. I use it on all my major projects (including this one).

Unbounce: For landing pages and converting social media traffic into email subscribers. It's cost effective and easy to use.

Manychat: Automates lead-gen with DMs on Instagram, FB and TikTok. Not essential, but very powerful.

Squarespace: Great for quick website builds when Wordpress isn't necessary. Comes with built-in e-commerce and newsletter functionality too.

That's all for the core stuff, you can find a complete list of all the tools I recommend here.

GD Tech Nerds. Let’s talk about iPads. I’ll be honest: I don't personally carry one. But I know your sofa is currently being held hostage by one, or your kids are using a cracked Air 2 as a glorified Frisbee. Whether it's for work, mobile gaming, or keeping the peace in the backseat, there is one golden rule you should live by: Never pay full price for a new iPad. Why? It’s simple: iPads aren’t built like phones. A three-year-old iPhone starts to feel its age, but a three-year-old iPad is...

GD Tech Nerds. A Pro Max model iPhone from Apple is hella expensive. You're looking at $1200 for the base model option. And for a lot of people right now, that's just too damn much. But $500? That's doable. It's actually downright reasonable. Case in point: the iPhone 15 Pro Max now comes in around the $500 mark and it is still a BEAST of a phone. The only caveat? You don't get the latest model and the phone is refurbished. But you save close to $800 versus buying new. Also, and this is key:...

GD Tech Nerds. Cheap Android phones are LEGION. On paper, they look fine. But once you unbox one and start using it, the cracks start to appear. Camera modules that look high-spec on paper turn out to be potatoes in practice. The software is full of bloatware and lags and hangs. And then, if you make it 12+ months into ownership, you'll find out that, no, there are no more Android updates for you. This isn't new, either. Android phone makers have been doing this for years. It is one of the...
